VFS Recycle even seems to be working smoothly. I don’t follow what you mean about the Intel controller taking over when the Marvell is disabled. It is not a limitation of the chip, but a limitation of the implemementation on the board itself. While in theory this means your video card will be slower, the reality is if you have a single GPU, nothing available today can fully utilize even a PCIe 2. I have tried BIOS update on controller to no joy.

Thats like saying you can do a software update to cure a flawed piece of hardware in your computer. I now have a better understanding of how these controllers work.


If you disable the Marvell controller, regardless of mode, it will not function, period. Register a new account. I just used a different, non-Marvell card.

Do make sure you have the latest firmware for the card. Why don’t they include a driver for download at all? And if it did apply, you wouldn’t be complaining about parity, you wouldn’t see any of the attached drives at all. You do your research!

That leaves me with two Marvell ports at 6Gbs of which one needs to be used as mwrvell boot drive. This tool uses JavaScript and much of it will not work correctly without it enabled.
