Actually, you just uninstall the scanner from device manager which should be listed under “Imaging Devices”, via Scaner Mode, then before hooking the scanner up to the computer, install the driver, then connect the scanner No longer marked as found in versions 1. I haven’t tried out my other flatbed scanners Canon since it had the same unsupported disclaimers from the manufacturer. Has anyone gotten the HP c flatbed scanner to work on Win Vista? Sun, 25 Sep If not USB do it the other way around, connect scanner then install software. I wouldn’t mess with the registry either at this point.

I had a good backup, so I did a fresh install of XP home, through SP2 and ph4200c 25 minutes worth of critical patches after that. Now the research begins on the differences between these 2 laptops.
